How does each individual survive the rigorous hardships of life? People survive because survival is the only option. If we don’t continue to resist our adversities in life, we die. Sometimes the pain that we endure causes us to think about suicide, but most of us find a way to conquer our tragedies because we realize that life is too precious to die. This world is very complex, and human beings are not perfect, but people still demand perfection in an imperfect universe. There are many types of complications that people suffer from everyday– which include diseases, poverty, unjustified persecution, and psychological disorders. I have suffered from many tragedies in life, but I am still surviving because I cherish my existence, and a person can survive almost any circumstance if they desire the gift of life.

Please remember that Authors are looking for feedback (both positive and negative). If leaving praise, or a critique, please try to qualify your comments - something a little more elaborative than 'Good job', or 'A Bit Boring' is generally encouraged. Please remember this is a creative writing site, so comments should always relate to the style of writing and the content, rather than a discussion about the views expressed.

This is a well-written piece, leaving me eager to read on. It would serve as an excellent introduction or first paragraph to a longer work, perhaps a short story or novel.

But where is the rest of the story? I would like to read more, suicidal ideation is seductive as you suggest. To live you must want to live. You have set your hook expertly, now reel in the reader - fish! I would read more, I hate being left hanging. Who is this about, why are they so sad? Good start, say more

i think you make an excellent point.. a sad but true one. sometimes i encounter stories from friends about people they know that give up before they even bother trying.. and this kind of reminds me of that. it makes me ask "are you even grateful for your life?". also, i have to disagree with vasudha.. it's a non-fiction piece and therefore is based on someone tapping into something raw and that doesn't always include positivity. keep it real and it will be great :o) good piece.

This piece raises some deep questions for the reader, very engaging. would like to see it elongated

Good intro- but where is this going to lead? Will you talk about a single person's hardships or a group? Will this be the introduction to a fiction or true story, etc? These are deep questions that every human being struggles with at some point in their lives. Goodluck

a good introduction. a piece of advice is that please start on a positive note . always end also with a positive ending. may be in middle you can put in the hardships .
