Broken

As you search the broken wreckage of my Soul
You find the letters I once would hold
Of Love, that we once would share
When I only wanted you to be there.

As you cry your tears of sorrow
Please think of yesterday
As well as tomorrow
Although our time together was short-lived
All of my love, was yours to give.

Through cold Winters
And Summer nights
As we made love under the starry skies
Our love bloomed, we thought was here to stay
But the Hand of Fate stepped in
And cruelly took it all away.

Please don't doubt me
Was my Love always True?
Sweet love of mine
There was only you!

Please remember that Authors are looking for feedback (both positive and negative). If leaving praise, or a critique, please try to qualify your comments - something a little more elaborative than 'Good job', or 'A Bit Boring' is generally encouraged. Please remember this is a creative writing site, so comments should always relate to the style of writing and the content, rather than a discussion about the views expressed.

That was really lovely. It was simple, it was so unique and I felt like you really captured something. Your poem played out like a movie to me, I can clearly see the love and the pain that you wrote about. Keep up the great work! :)

Very beautiful...but I'd might take out the exclamation point at the end and add more on the loss like Ben said...still a very moving piece.

Very nice and moving. I would maybe add more effects on the loss. As I lay motionless on an empty bed, I think of all the tears I have shed, our past may be cast to sea, but its you I love, your my energy. (Something along those lines) Just an idea

Beautiful. It transported me into the moment and my heart broke as I heard my husband's voice saying the words.

Wow. That's pretty much all I have to say, other than I think this is a very simple, yet intricate piece and I love it!
