Hello,
I am Ben, a 20 year old who is unleashing all I can upon the world (or at least my little town of Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia). At the moment I am studying my first year at university, working part time and playing in a covers band as a drummer.
My creativity is a constant in all areas of my life. I love to listen to music and express my influences. I am a drummer at heart and I don't think that will ever change.
When I was younger, at about 10-13, I began writing stories of all sorts. I used to get home from school and just write for hours about fantasies, animals that could speak and other crazy narratives that kids think about. I have since then, both by myself and with band members in several bands, kept an essence of that creative source and written lyrics and poems for songs. I have collectively about 300-500 pages of these lyrics. I love to listen to music and write what I feel as I hear the sounds.
Being creative for me is a way of expelling feelings, which for me and I think it would be the same for many others, is such a natural and healthy process to deal with those things in your life which can be so overwhelming at times.
So that is pretty much me in a nutshell. I wish to write some more now, even with such a busy lifestyle. Please let me know what you think of my stories/ lyrics and give me as much criticism as you feel is necessary.
This may or may not lead to something I want to pursue. However, I know one thing is for certain, I will NEVER stop being creative, no matter what anyone says.
